today zoey flew her new monkey kite for the first time. i was too involved to take pictures. it was a beautiful, sunny, partly windy day. she ran very fast to get the kite up. then she tugged on the line like daddy must have shown her a year ago...or something. she's a pro. we also took a trip to beans and greens (a closeby farm we love), where she fed the goat greens, and the sweet baby cow crab apples from the ground. we ran into her swim-classmate nehemiah, whom she happily shared her goat food with. we saw a woman painting flowers, and a little while later visited the teepee made of vines, where she told me she asked me, "when i get older, can i paint a picture here?".

from OUR garden!

zoey asked me to take this picture. she was going to mary the easter poodle (the pink stuffed animal poodle backpack in her lap), and mini mouse and some other pink animal were their kids, "that were going to pop out after they were married". i swear this story line did not come from me, nor from any tv or movie i've known that she's watched!
