after visitors, camping trips, and our fall river adventure, we had a very dreary, somewhat lonely day yesterday. however, zoey asked to cut flowers in the backyard with her knife (a children's butter knife) and the made me pretty happy. then we played softball with some friends while the sun peaked out in the evening.
mom, these grew on those weeds we didn't get to pulling up! they are sparse, so i'm not bummed we pulled the rest out. but they are pretty...
