she was so proud she dressed herself (through the neck of the dress, over her pajamas)

zoey walked over to me with this face. i asked her, "what are you doing" and she said, "my monster face." hahahaha
lately zoey has been hilarious and evil. well, not evil...in the grand scheme of things. she's hitting that "terrible two" stage, but not at a super high level, so we're doing pretty well with it. getting her to go places, or leave places is still very hard. i've been using bribes. she's very in love with gummi bears or gummi bunnies (of the vegan sort, meaning without gelatin). she's been having more trouble than usual getting to sleep, but we had a great long weekend in nh recently and i think that has something to do with it. also, i'm pretty sure she's getting her two year molars, and they're the most painful teeth yet.
i haven't been updating the blog as much as usual because 1. she will climb in my lap and over the keyboard still, no matter how i try to get her interested in something else. well, tv works, but i'm trying not to use that every day. it's hard not to because it keeps her attention so well! and 2. because my lower back is still totally messed up, inflammed, who knows. the chiropractor says i'm "moving well" which means my bones are doing fine, but my muscles are not happy. i'm going to see a masseus as soon as i can to see if they can do something. meanwhile, sitting is not fun. it's due to an equation like this: zoey getting heavier, zoey getting more stubborn, me having to lift her up while she kicks and screams, me not going to the gym at all because she has stranger anxiety and wouldn't stop crying when left at the childcare area (she's getting a lot better with the anxiety though, but now that my back is messed up i can't work out...) it's a crazy cycle.
meanwhile, she's speaking in almost full sentences, and is being a good girl when following my constant nagging to say, "please may i have ____" instead of ,"i want _______!"
she's said, "i love you mommy, and i love you daddy" at different times and without any prompting. what a sweetie.
