spring
i dressed her up to go to laura and henry's house. then it turned out we were going to the park, so i changed her into something with legs, then it turned out we were just going to laura and henry's house, which is nice so i didn't mind. zoey loves the grass. i love visiting with laura (and henry too).
he calls her zozo and won't get out of her face
she's in the tub right now, very cranky, at least i've been able to update the blog like crazy this evening. every once in a while i hear a gigantic splash then eric saying, exasperated, "what are you doing? sit down" she climbs around the tub like a monkey. or wants to.
i should go put her to bed soon. perhaps she'll go! if we're lucky.
yay prunes
first shampoo horn with soft edge
new skills
zoey now:
pulls herself up on things to a standing position
constantly wants to hold our hands and walk
laughs like a big kid when she enjoys something like bouncing on our knees
"cries" when she wants to be standing but has fallen on her butt
wakes up every hour ON THE HOUR (?) - now that's a skill!
eats lots of new things including rice cakes and fishies and her favorite is prunes (which i dip everything else in, like spoonfulls of rice/green bean baby food. ummmm.
fake laughs
still commando crawls
picks things up VERY SLOWLY from the ground while standing (supported by one hand on another object)
hits her drum with purpose
hits objects together with purpose and great pride (especially two halves of a plastic easter egg)

learning
so, what i've learned recently is nothing. no, a couple things. banana stains. who would have thought? not me. i'm bummed because this was a very cute onesie. i'm pretty sure she only ate a nickel-sized piece out of this whole chunk of fruit. i've also learned that giving her a whole rice cake is not a good idea, if you don't want to get messy. i've come to a conclusion that our lack of sleep has hit a high and it's time to do something new. we'll probably try the letting her cry, while one of us is sitting right next to the crib method. it's something i read about, thanks dan d. dan d. haha. see, i need sleep! today, i was driving to the dentist without the munch, who was at home with daddy not sleeping more. i forgot where i was. i turned my head to check out a house for sale, as i always do now, and when i looked back at the truck stopping at an intersection in front of me, i couldn't remember where i was in town. sometimes you just let your mind be tired ya know? luckily i don't forget how to drive...it's not as bad as a lot of people have had it.
