zoey just rode eric around the room. he was on his hands and knees of course. then she climbed on the couch and says, "on your belly daddy, on your belly" eric laid down on his back and said, "you want to ride on my belly? ok, come here." and zoey said, "ok. i will ride on your belly daddy, and you will crawl."

lately i explain something and she listens, then says, "ok" afterwards and truly understands. i find that amazing and realize i'm lucky to have a cooperative kid.

we were at the grocery store the other day and, to almost every person we went by, especially older women, zoey said, "she won't take the bananas" or "she won't take them mommy" or "no mine!". she said this when we were 10 feet from the bananas and not intending on even buying them. actually, the people weren't even touching or looking at the bananas!

we were listening to the song from the winnie the pooh movie "lullaby for bees" i said, "he's singing about putting bees to sleep." and zoey said, "talk about it more mommy." i didn't have a dissertation ready so i just repeated myself. when she does this with other things i have to repeat myself asks about 9 times before she is satisfied. i'm pretty sure she's memorizing it for later use...or just wanting to understand what i said.

I LOVE that first picture!
And I also LOVE this stage of language. Makili does the same thing, though he also repeats the same thing over and over again, as though he is practicing it or committing it to memory. It's funny.
