after 3 months

as you can see from the first picture, zoey is growing up and becoming william wallace's right hand man. she is two days before three months old right now, although the doctor's office hasn't a clue and called me today to tell me i missed her 2 month old checkup at 10:45 this morning. what?? they're nuts. zoey's hair is getting very fuzzy, she had a crew cut growing out look for one day, now it's longer and soft, still darkish blond. i heard recently that you're supposed to put your baby on her tummy for "tummy time" so i did. she was okay with it. i've put her on her stomach on the boppy once in a while for something different. i'm realizing as i write this that i should probably read some books about human development so i can help her out in ways she needs, other than providing food, sleep and toy stimulation. i'm not too worried about it, as i'm still hanging onto the wisdom my midwife mentioned before zoey's birth, "it's going to happen whether you're able to handle it or not". there's some peace in realizing that. it takes some of the pressure off.
